Shavings Stool by Yoav Avinoam

Shavings Stool is a contemporary stool furniture design that has been created by Israeli designer Yoav Avinoam. This designer designed this Shavings Stool based on the creative idea creating a furniture that made of sawdust waste from the wood industry, which is combined with resin and pressed into a mold that already contains all the objects parts. The sawdust crumbles toward the edges, creating a new aesthetic for a material once destined to become waste. Motley III is a series of ten new furniture and lighting designs by Samuel Chan for Channels. Floor/ Pendant Lamp
This freestanding lamp series comes in three sizes and introduces an organic form made from solid curved oak batons on a trunk like base. Central cylinder of frosted glass gives diffused light. A Pendant version of the lamp is also available, using the organic form only and evocative of a lantern.
